Professor Mary Lacity is Curators’ Distinguished Professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has held visiting positions at the London School of Economics, Washington University, and Oxford University, and was and a Visiting Scholar at MIT CISR. She is a Certified Outsourcing Professional®, Industry Advisor for Symphony, and Senior Editor of MIS Quarterly Executive.
Mary has given keynote speeches and executive seminars worldwide and has served as an expert witness for the US Congress. She was inducted into the IAOP’s Outsourcing Hall of Fame in 2014 – one of only three academics to ever achieve this.
She has published 26 books, most recently Robotic Process Automation and Risk Mitigation: The Definitive Guide (SB Publishing, 2017) and Service Automation: Robots and the Future of Work (SB Publishing, 2016) – both co-authored with Professor Leslie Willcocks. Mary’s forthcoming books include Robotic Process and Cognitive Automation: The Next Phase (with L. Willcocks; SB Publishing, 2018).
